E-Mailing files from Windows Explorer

  1. Connect to the internet.
  2. Find the file you want to e-mail.  You can find the file by opening Windows Explorer by holding down the Window's Key and pressing "E" on the keyboard or you can double click on the "My Documents" folder on your computer screen (desktop) and find the file that way.  Either way, you need to find the file you want to e-mail (send).

Note:  If you want to re-name the file before sending it do the following:

  1. Click once on the file you want to send.  The file name will turn blue.
  2. Click on the blue file name once, then type in the new file name that you want (once you start typing the old name will disappear and the new name will appear).
  3. Once you have the file name you desire, press enter (or click off the file name once).

Note: If sending photo's to CARMLS the files need to be named the MLS number.  Example:  If you have one photo to send the file name should be 0203427.  If you have more than one photo the following numbers should look like this 0203427-2, 0203427-3.  You can send up to 3 photo's to CARMLS.

Now to send the file:

  1. Right click once on the file (using your right mouse button).
  2. In the drop down list, using your left mouse button click "Send".
  3. If another list opens click on "Mail Recipient".
  4. Once you click on "Mail Recipient" your computer will launch your default e-mail program.  Once that box opens simply enter the e-mail address you want the file sent to (photos@carmls.com), enter a subject, enter a message if you'd like, then click the "Send" button.

If you need to send more files repeat steps 6-9.

End of instructions.
